Nassau County police said that they arrested a 28-year-old man who allegedly touched the feet of teenage girls on two separate occasions in Farmingdale. Carlos Sanchez, a Massapequa resident, was charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
On Monday, two teenaged girls, 17 and 16, were sitting on swings in Lincoln Park when a man touched their feet. Newsday reports, "Police said the man then began to touch the feet of the 16-year-old -- and held on when she tried to pull away." The teen took his photo and he ran away to his car.
When that incident was publicized, police received a tip about an incident that happened on Tuesday: Patch reports that the suspect "approached three Farmingdale teens under the age of 16 who were walking home from Farmingdale High School. They reported to police that he reached down and removed one of the teen's shoes, looked at it, put it back on her foot and asked them if they would like a foot massage before the teens walked away and the defendant drove off in his vehicle."
Tipsters contacted the police, identifying the man in the photograph as Sanchez. He is scheduled to be arraigned today.
