Gonzaga 86 St. John's 71: The Red Storm ended a season of promise with a crash, bombing out to #11-seed Gonzaga. It was a painful end for a squad that beat numerous top-20 teams along the way, but could not overcome a mediocre effort against a good Gonzaga squad. The upcoming recruiting class is promising, but a lot of seniors will be graduating. Hopefully, it will not take another nine years for the Johnnies to return to March Madness.
Knicks 120 Memphis 99: It seems so simple. When the Knicks play defense, they have a chance to win, when they don't....The defense showed up against Memphis and Toney Douglas deserves particular praise. He scored 29 and added some big stops as New York won a game they really needed.
Chicago 84 New Jersey 73: The Nets couldn't buy a basket, shooting 35% from the field. Chicago wasn't much better as the two teams couldn't buy a basket in the second or third quarter. Brook Lopez had 22 in the loss.
Ottawa 3 New Jersey 1: The Senators scored late in the first period and they never looked back as they dented the Devils' playoff hopes. New Jersey has 12 games left and they are six points back.
