• Lakers 115, Knicks 105: Kobe Bryant was in town, but he wasn't able to deliver his usual stellar performance at The Garden. Bryant, who had a 61-point outing in his last visit to New York City, finished the game with a measly 27 points. New York actually had a one-point lead entering the 3rd quarter, but unfortunately for the Knicks, the Lakers started the 4th quarter with a 20-9 run. Kobe was able to score 13 points in the 4th quarter to help the Lakers to victory. David Lee led the Knicks with 31 points and 17 rebounds while Wilson Chandler scored 28 points in the loss.
Also at the game was former President Bill Clinton. During a halftime address, Clinton announced that Pau Gasol and Jordan Farmar of the Lakers and Danilo Gallinari of the Knicks would each donate $1000 to the Clinton Bush Haiti Fund for every point scored in the game. The three players raised $49,000 with the points they scored Friday night.
  • Warriors 111, Nets 79: How bad are the Nets? Well, it's pretty obvious when they have just three wins on the season. But they managed to get blown out by the Warriors (who have lost 2/3s of their games) even though Golden State played without their leading scorer for more than half the game. The Nets haven't won since 2009 (December 30th) when they beat their cross-river rivals from New York.
  • Canadiens 3, Devils 1: Zach Parise started the scoring for the Devils in the 1st period, but that's all New Jersey would get as they continue to struggle on offense.
