The Mets opened a four-game series against the Cubs Monday night by getting things off right, winning 6-1. New York scored 5 runs in the 7th inning, which featured a two-run home run by Angel Pagan. The game was also the Major League debut of Mets 1st baseman Ike Davis. Davis had two singles on the night and an RBI during the team's 7th inning rally. Jonathon Niese pitched into the 6th inning, but was unable to pick up his first win of the season.
