- Celtics 109, Knicks 93: The last time these two teams met, things were ugly. Really ugly. In that meeting, the Knicks were held to only 59 points, handed their 3rd worst defeat ever and had the 2nd lowest scoring effort since the NBA started using the shot clock. While the end result wasn't any different last night, at least the Knicks weren't blown out of the water. Kevin Garnett helped lead Boston to victory with 20 points and 13 rebounds after Paul Pierce and the Knicks' Quentin Richardson were ejected in the 3rd quarter for trash talking. The loudest cheers of the night came when Plaxico Burress, R.W. McQuarters, Aaron Ross and Steve Smith were shown on the jumbotron.
- Hurricanes 3, Islanders 2 (OT): This season, if the Isles were winning after 2 periods of play, you could count on them not to lose. Last night, for the first time, that wasn't the case. Despite having a 2-0 lead entering the 3rd period, the Islanders managed to lose to Carolina, which won its 2nd consecutive game after losing 4 straight. Cory Stillman scored the winning goal for the Hurricanes in overtime on a power play.
