But, he made a number of big baskets down the stretch and the Knicks were very glad to have him when Amar'e fouled out with just over a minute left. Overshadowed was a nice debut effort from Chauncey Billups who dished out eight assists and got to the free throw line a lot.

: Ranked for the first time in over ten years and with a game against Villanova coming up next, it would have been easy for the Red Storm to overlook a bad DePaul team. They didn't, jumping out to a 15-point halftime lead and cruising from there. Dwight Hardy led all scorers with 21 points.
