Knicks 114 Milwaukee 108: Carmelo Anthony had an uneven debut for the Knicks. He scored 27 points, but did it by shooting 10-25. But, he made a number of big baskets down the stretch and the Knicks were very glad to have him when Amar'e fouled out with just over a minute left. Overshadowed was a nice debut effort from Chauncey Billups who dished out eight assists and got to the free throw line a lot.
New York has an off day before a game against Cleveland and then a huge matchup with the Heat on Sunday.
St. John's 76 DePaul 51: Ranked for the first time in over ten years and with a game against Villanova coming up next, it would have been easy for the Red Storm to overlook a bad DePaul team. They didn't, jumping out to a 15-point halftime lead and cruising from there. Dwight Hardy led all scorers with 21 points.
