
Dwayne Roloson makes a save in the shootout to to secure the win for the Islanders.
- Islanders 6 Atlanta 5 (Shootout): It could have been a disaster, but the Islanders managed to ultimately prevail and earn two points in a shootout. New York had leads of 3-0, 4-1 and 5-2, but the Thrashers came back and tied the game at 5. Luckily, they used up all their goals before the shootout and conversions by Jeff Tambellini and Frans Nielsen earned New York the two points.
- New Jersey 5 Minnesota 3: Jamie Langenbrunner earned a hat trick and the Devils overcame a poor defensive effort and a short-handed goal. Martin Brodeur made 29 saves to earn the victory.
- Carolina 2 Rangers 1 (Overtime): It was the same old story for New York, no offense except for Gaborik. Gaborik scored his 27th goal of the year and the Rangers hit a couple of posts, but it wasn’t enough as former Rangers, Matt Cullen setup the game-winner in OT.
- Cleveland 94 Nets 86: New Jersey hung in for awhile, but LeBron had 28 to lead the Cavs to victory.
