  • Atlanta 99 Knicks 93: They simply couldn’t bring this one home. Ahead 91-90 with less than three minutes in the game, the Knicks went cold on both ends of the floor and lost. Jamal Crawford made two turnovers, missed two shots and totally blew a defensive assignment as the Hawks went up 94-91 with 34 second left. The Knicks got the ball back and went inside to Randolph who already had 29 points, but he couldn’t convert and New York lost again. On the plus side, Eddy Curry got to play over 20 minutes, maybe Isiah wasn’t paying attention.
  • Washington 4 Devils 0: The Capitals broke in their new goalie, Cristobal Huet and he responded with a shutout. The Devils kept it close through two periods, but Washington got a goal 43 seconds into the third and didn’t look back.
  • A couple of local pitchers didn’t look very good today: Thankfully, it’s only the first week of games, but Santana had a bad Mets’ debut and Igawa picked up where he left off last season.
