Dallas 127 Knicks 109: The Knicks led in the opening minutes of the game and really never had a chance after that. Dallas blew their doors off, opening up a 21-point lead at the half before cruising to an easy win. The usual culprits, bad defense and poor rebounding, plagued the Knicks as they allowed Dallas to shoot close to 51% from the field and pull down 17 offensive rebounds. Amar’e Stoudemire had 36 points in the loss.
Syracuse 79 St. John’s 73: The Red Storm will still make the NCAA Tournament, but they suffered a huge loss when D.J. Kennedy went down with a torn ACL in the first half of Thursday’s game. St. John’s could have used Kennedy in the second half as Syracuse converted a lot of offensive rebounds to pull away in the final minutes.
