• Devils 3 Tampa Bay 2 (Shootout): Another day, another comeback by the Devils. Down 2-0 after one period, New Jersey tied things up in the third period thanks to Zach Parise’s 35th goal of the year. Parise added a goal in the shootout, but it was Patrik Elias who provided the game-winner.

  • Carolina 6 Islanders 2: The Islanders stood in for about ten minutes before Carolina blew their doors off. After three goals in the first, Carolina added two more in the second to make the rest of the game a formality. New York added a goal in the third and got into a huge fight to keep the remaining crowd interested.
