After being rescued from the tracks of the East Broadway F station on Friday, MTA worker Sabrina Scott has been reunited with her subway hero, who saw her on the news and decided to visit her in the hospital (video below)! Derrick Oakes (or Oaks) said, "I just told her I'm glad she's alive. She's getting better." He also gave a few more details of her attack.

Oakes said he stepped in when he saw the crazed man attack Scott, and that the attacker tried to push him into the tracks as well. "I was wrestling with him," Oakes said. "He grabbed on to her jacket and slung her." A cop tried to intervene, but mistook Oakes for Scott's attacker. "I told him, no, the other guy pushed her," he said, and as the cop chased the attacker Oakes pulled Scott from the tracks. He said he quickly left because he had promised a friend he would go grocery shopping.

Scott said her family is hosting a dinner in Oakes's honor on Sunday. "All of my family's gonna be there to thank him personally," Scott said. "He's going to be part of the family now." She suffered a concussion, a dislocated thumb, a head gash and bruises. Police describe her attacker as a light skinned man (the Daily News says Hispanic) in his 40s, about 5 feet 6 inches tall, bald and clean shaven. Police say there were (surprise surprise) no surveillance cameras at the station.
