L train service between Myrtle Avenue and Bedford Avenue was stopped this morning after a woman was struck by a train at Bedford Avenue around 7:47 a.m. The unidentified victim was removed from the tracks but delays remain in effect. An MTA spokesperson tells us investigators suspect she jumped.
According to the the FDNY, the victim, who has been removed from the tracks, is in stable condition and at this point the incident does not appear to be fatal. Service should resume shortly. We'll update as more information becomes available.
Showed up to the Bedford L stop just as FDNY were carrying a lady out who had been run over by the train. Emotional morning.
