Raymond Felton, the struggling point guard for the New York Knicks, turned himself into the 20th Precinct in Manhattan this morning to face gun charges. And he may have pointed the gun at a woman.

The Post reports that the 29-year-old "was questioned by police Tuesday morning after allegedly pointing a gun at a woman, sources said… The woman involved was his girlfriend, sources said." Felton's wife recently filed for divorce.

According to the Daily News, "Felton surrendered after an unidentified woman dropped off his gun at the 20th Precinct stationhouse in the Upper West Side."

An NYPD spokesperson told WCBS 2 that "the charges don’t stem from him using the firearm in a menacing manner but of possessing a gun he wasn’t registered to have." Felton was charged with second- and third-degree criminal possession of a firearm—both are felonies—as well as fourth-degree possession, which is a misdemeanor.

The Knicks fell to the Dallas Mavericks, 110-108, last night at Madison Square Garden. At 12:50 a.m. this morning, Felton went to the 20th Precinct. He has a three-year, $10 million contract with the Knicks.
