Almost a month after she turned herself in Ann Pettway, the woman accused of kidnapping Carlina White from Harlem Hospital in August 1987, was indicted yesterday on federal charges of kidnapping. Court papers indicate that Pettway kidnapped White as a way to impress her boyfriend after a series of miscarriages. She is expected to enter a plea on February 24. If convicted she faces up to life in prison. Carlina, meanwhile, was last seen in the news being guilted by her birth mother via tabloid.
