The couple who will be moving into Ponzi schemer Bernard Madoff's former Upper East Side duplex discussed their purchase with the Post. Al and Patsy Kahn (Al made his fortune in the toy business, with Cabbage Patch Kids and Pokemon) apparently look at numerous penthouses before Patsy Kahn fell in love with the huge 4,000 square foot terrace, "There just weren't a lot of penthouses on the market with a lot of outdoor space... [Al] was worried about the karma, but I just loved the terrace."

It's believed the couple paid $8 million for the East 64th Street pad, which was sold by the U.S. Marshal's Service with proceeds going to Madoff's many victims. The Kahns, who have put their current Time Warner Center residence on the market for $33 million (!), are curious about some locked doors at the former Madoff penthouse, though suspect they just lead to fire escapes.
