A Brooklyn jeweler was sent to the hospital yesterday after two men trying to sell fake gold to him pulled out a taser instead of their identification. Maybe they should have tried their luck on the scam that is Cash4Gold?
The shocking incident went down around 10:45 a.m. at J&F Jewelers in Bensonhurst when two men entered the store trying to sell some suspicious gold. When the jeweler asked for ID (which you apparently need to sell gold) one of the men freaked, pulled out a taser and shot him in the chest (a high-risk zone to be tasered). The duo then ran from the store empty-handed.
The jeweler, described as being a 50-something grandfather, was taken to Maimonides Hospital in stable condition and a female employee who was also at the store was not hurt. If only the perps had tased themselves.
