This weekend's anticipated AFC divisional round playoff game between the Jets and Patriots is already pretty personal for Rex Ryan, and it seems to be bringing out the fire in the rest of the Jets players. Asked about Pats Ugg-spokesman Tom Brady, virile cornerback Antonio Cromartie unleashed a verbal tirade to the News, calling him an "ass----," among other things: "F--- him...That's what I think about him. I don't really give a damn about him. I don't have to play against him. I play against the receivers."
Cromartie takes particular umbrage with a Brady tic: the QB likes to point at the Jets defensive line after throwing touchdown passes. "We see that a lot. He does it a lot. That's the kind of guy he is. We really don't give a damn, to tell you the truth," Cromartie doth protested. While Cromartie may have a fixed opinion about the Patriots and their hair-plugging playboy, Giants fans have decidedly mixed emotions about the Jets. “If you’re a Giants fan you’re rooting for anybody to beat the Jets. The Patriots. You’d root for the Patriots to beat the Jets. That’s the way it works in terms of fandom,” former Jets linebacker Greg Buttle told CBS. Still, it's hard to imagine any NYer rooting for the Pats though: “As much as I don’t like Jets I’m still going to root for them being a New York fan,” James Solar said.
One person who'll definitely be rooting for the Jets this weekend? "Bombshell" TV reporter Ines Sanchez, who claimed she was sexually harassed by the "male hormone" in the jets locker room back in September. "They are like a star in the movies. They win games you truly believe they are going to lose...I truly believe they have the best chance to win the Super Bowl. I think Mark Sanchez will do it!" she told Chaunce Hayden in an interview with Steppin' Out magazine. If anything, she should be praising Sanchez's playoff beard.
