The 2013 lockout-shortened hockey season is young, but it is as full of idiots as ever. Police say that Craig Stanley, 54, spanked a 21-year-old woman on the butt outside the Nassau Coliseum after the Islanders' game on Sunday.

Apparently Stanley wanted to congratulate the woman on her birthday, but ended up getting arrested. He was charged with forcible touching.

Stanley proclaimed his innocence to the Post, "I didn’t slap her butt. This is all blown up," saying he actually just slapped her back. The Post adds, "Stanley is well known at the Coliseum — he was once berated by Islanders owner Charles Wang to 'sit down and shut up' during a February 2001 meeting with fans." (Stanley showed up in a gold wig.) "At the forum, Stanley demanded Wang dump his team manager at the time, Mike Milbury. 'What could you possibly see in him?' Stanley asked Wang three times." Of course, one haunting question remains unanswered: Will Stanley heads to Barclays Center?!?
