Ted Williams and his daughter Janey
Is Ted Williams's daughter seeking revenge for him abandoning his family, a paycheck of her own, or has the man with the golden voice really fallen so far in just one week? Yesterday word got out that he and his daughter were detained after a family altercation at a Hollywood hotel (they were in town filming a Dr. Phil episode), and now Entertainment Tonight has an interview with the two following the incident.
His 29-year-old daughter Janey claims, "He's consumed at least a bottle of Grey Goose a night. That's not including the Coronas he orders, that's not including the Budweisers he orders, that's not including the other alcohol, the wines. He drinks heavily." Williams says he was clean for over two years when he was discovered panhandling on the side of the highway in Ohio; over the past week he's gone from homeless to famous, and many have wondered if he could handle the sudden success.
Williams denies he has started drinking again, and when he spoke to ET he had scratches on his face from his daughter, saying, "I wanted to bring it to a close by just saying, 'Shut the hell up and let me talk to your mother.' When that was said out of my mouth, my daughter exploded, fists got a flyin', none of which were mine." Janey says she hit him because he said: "You, you fat [expletive]."
According to the man with the golden voice, his daughter is "selling me out on this fame and fortune ticket." He says she was screaming during the fight: "I"m gonna sell this story!"
