Well, who wouldn't visit a convicted kidnapper and sex attacker to visit him in prison?! The Daily News' Jane Ridley says of her visit to see Peter Braunstein, "I went, though I really don't care what he has to say. I went because he's this Hannibal Lechter-style creep you just have to see - and stare at in the way we look at car accidents we pass on the highway." Good reason—pass the fava beans and Chianti!

Ridley's column is chock full of nutty Braunstein-isms. Referring to the woman he kidnapped and terrorized for 13 hours, "She [the victim] wakes up and goes about her day - and it could be a good day, a bad day, a forgettable day - but she wouldn't be having any kind of day at all if I'd killed her." And when Ridley mentions his ex-girlfriend, Braunstein "goes ballistic" and muses, "I've realized that it's possible to hate someone so much that killing them wouldn't satisfy you." Of course, this interview isn't as crazy as his first jailhouse interview from 2007, but it does show progress, since back then he said of his ex, "I fantasize about going back in time and killing Jane."

The Daily News even has video of Braunstein talking. It might make your head spin, though.
