More details have emerged about the shooting in a Brooklyn auto repair shop on Saturday night. When a group of five men tried to rob the shop, off-duty Triborough Bridge and Tunnel Authority officer Anthony Presley managed to shoot at the suspects while being fired at. Now it turns out that an off-duty NYPD school safety agent was also in the shop during the robbery, and he picked Presley's service revolver and fired at the suspects, "emptying the clip." The only problem: The school safety agent could face charges because he's not licensed to carry a gun.

According to the Wall Street Journal, five armed men burst the DSG Auto Repair on Albany Avenue in Bedford-Stuyvesant, ordering the people inside the business on the ground. "The suspects began searching the victims and one of them felt the weapon carried by Mr. Presley and yelled "gun" before pistol-whipping Mr. Presley repeatedly, the official said. 'They had me on the ground, they had a gun to my head,"'said the owner of the shop, Danley Bailey.... One of the suspects began shooting at the officer, who returned fire before being struck once in the shoulder and dropping his weapon, a Glock 19. The school-safety agent then picked up the pistol and followed the fleeing suspects outside the shop, where one of them apparently fired at him."

Two of the suspects were injured; one was shot four times and another had gunshot wounds to his face and neck—both were charged with attempted murder of a police officer, attempted robbery, assault on a police officer and criminal possession of a loaded firearm. Police are searching for the other suspects. Presley is in stable condition while the school safety agent could be charged with reckless endangerment.
