The War on Drugs is making great strides! Last night the NYPD distributed this triumphant photograph (click on it for the full-size version you can download for your desktop wallpaper) of a sizable marijuana seizure at a Queens warehouse. According to investigators, the plants and growing equipment were discovered inside a building in Long Island City, at 11-27 44th Road. That's right around the corner from the John Brown Smokehouse (tee-hee) and just one block from where Wes Anderson shot that scene in Darjeeling Limited where the Whitman brothers try to pick up their father's sports car on the way to his funeral.
ABC 7 reports that five people were arrested, but no other information is being disclosed at this time. Still, it's enough to know that the NYPD remains dedicated to keeping dangerous vegetation like this off the streets. A couple more big busts like this, and this war will be over. As you can see from these past victories, they're really on a roll.
