The police are looking for a man accused of a bias assault at the West 4th Street subway station in Manhattan earlier this week.

2014_03_biassusp.jpgAccording to the NYPD, a 39-year-old man and his partner were on the platform at around 12:30 a.m. on Sunday, March 2nd. A suspect, described as a white male between 25 and 30 years old, 5'8" and 170 pounds, approached them and asked if they were gay. The couple ignored him.

Then, police say, the suspect "made a derogatory statement to the males and punched" the 39-year-old man in the face, causing him to fall down. The suspect fled and the victim was treated for a broken nose and fractured orbital bone at Lenox Hill Hospital.
