Remember last weekend? Remember how the MTA performed track work on almost every subway line and it gave you stress headaches just thinking about it? Remember how you comforted yourself by thinking, "well, let's get this over with. At least it'll be better next week"? We have some bad news for you: the MTA will be performing maintenance that will disrupt 14 different lines this weekend. Check out all the pertinent details below, but first take a deep breath (or maybe a really deep breath), because there's a lot to go through.
1 Train: Downtown trains will skip 238th Street due to staircase repair at 238th Street from 9:45 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.
4 Train: Uptown trains will run express from Union Square to Grand Central Terminal from 11:45 p.m. Saturday to 6:30 a.m. Sunday and then 11:45 p.m. Sunday to 5 a.m. Monday. Downtown trains will run express between 125th Street and Grand Central during the same times.
6 Train: Uptown trains will run express from Union Square to Grand Central from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday. Downtown trains will run express from 125th Street to Grand Central from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday. Downtown trains will also run express from Parkchester to Hunts Point Avenue from 7:45 a.m. to 4 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday.
A Train: There will be no A trains between 168th and 207th Streets from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday. Free shuttle buses will make stops at 175th, 181st, 190th and Dyckman Streets. All weekend, Manhattan-bound A trains in Brooklyn will run express from Euclid Avenue to Broadway Junction.
C Train: There will be no C trains between 145th and 168th Streets from 6:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday and Sunday (A trains will run local between those stations.) Uptown C trains will run express from Canal Street to 59th Street, and run express in Brooklyn from Euclid Avenue to Broadway Junction during the same times.
D Train: There will be no service between Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue and Bay Parkway from 5:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday due to Weekend Fastrack.
N Train: There will also be no service between Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue and Bay Parkway from 5:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday due to Weekend Fastrack.
E Train: Jamaica Center-bound E trains run local from Roosevelt Avenue to Forest Hills-71st Avenue from 12:30 a.m. Saturday to 5 a.m. Monday.
F Train: Jamaica-bound F trains will run over the A line from Jay Street-Metro Tech to West 4th Street from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday. Jamaica-bound F trains also run local from Roosevelt Avenue to Forest Hills-71st Avenue from 12:30 a.m. Saturday to 5 a.m. Monday. Coney Island-Bound F trains skip 4th Avenue-9th Street, 15th Street-Prospect Park and Fort Hamilton Parkway from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday.
G Train: Church Avenue-bound G trains skip 4th Avenue-9th Street, 15th Street-Prospect Park and Fort Hamilton Parkway from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday. Many Queens-bound G trains will have their last stop at Bedford-Nostrand from 5 a.m. to 11:59 p.m Saturday and Sunday—trains will run every 20 minutes during that time.
J Train: There is no J train service between Crescent Street and Jamaica Center from 5:30 a.m. Saturday to 10 p.m. Sunday. J trains will run between Crescent Street and Chambers Street. Free shuttle buses operate between Crescent Street and 121st Street and connect with the E at Jamaica-Van Wyck.
M Train: M train service will be suspended between Fresh Pond Road and Central Avenue from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday. Free shuttle buses will run between Metropolitan and Myrtle Avenues making all stops.
Q Train: Manhattan-bound Q trains will run express from Kings Highway to Prospect Park from 10:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday.
S Train: Franklin Avenue Shuttle service will be suspended from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday.
We all got through this week. So we think we can all agree that a few inconveniences to our travel schedules isn't the end of the world.
