Dick Grasso, the former chairman of the New York Stock Exchange and Monty Burns lookalike, really hates former governor Eliot Spitzer. See, back when Spitzer was the Sheriff of Wall Street, he sued Grasso over his ridiculous $187 million pay package. So Grasso, ever bent on getting back at Client No. 9, told a crowd at Wagner College that he'll run for mayor in 2013 if Spitzer does and if Police Commissioner Ray Kelly doesn't.

Grasso stumped for Kelly, "If the man who really should be the mayor, the next mayor of the city of New York, the great police commissioner Ray Kelly, chooses not to run, and if my former adversary does run as an independent in 2013, I will run for mayor of the City of New York." He also discussed national politics, specifically our country's debt: "You can't run a $14 trillion debt load on this country for much longer The rest of the world is looking at us and ready to pass judgment that our golden promise of turning a better future to our children will be over -- and that's a very sad commentary. Not for a minute do I believe the electorate will let this continue."

Grasso was critical of President Obama's plans but claimed, "I'm a fiscal sanity advocate. I think we're going to have to say, 'Yes, we will sacrifice.' But we're not going to let this great country go the way many have before. This [nation] can't be allowed to expire, because it sets the tone for the rest of the world. We have an opportunity to reinvent ourselves."

FWIW, last year, Grasso suggested that he'd consider running against Spitzer if Spitzer ran for State Comptroller.
