After an extended period of cold weather this month, the last week of March will be decidedly more spring-like, as temperatures return to normal and we get more than a few rainy days. A warm front is approaching the city this afternoon, giving us fog, overcast skies, light rain and a high in the mid 50s once front passes.

The warm front is associated with a string of low pressure systems, one to our southeast over the Atlantic, another over Lake Huron, and a third over northwestern Arkansas. That last low will be our weather maker tomorrow as it heads up the Ohio Valley, giving us another warm, drizzly day with a high near 60.

There is a lot of disagreement on how fast high pressure will move in to push away tomorrow's cloudy, drizzly skies. AccuWeather and the Weather Channel move the systems fastest, which would give us a sunny Wednesday with a high near 60. The National Weather Service sees a slower solution, meaning clouds gradually giving way to sun with a near normal high in the mid 50s. Everyone gets back to the same page by Thursday, forecasting a high in the mid 50s under mostly sunny skies. The month is expected to finish with a rainy Friday.
