Less than a month into his tenure as mayor, Bill de Blasio has already earned the ire of reporters tired of waiting for him to materialize at press conferences. And it seems that the proclivity for tardiness runs in the family: First Lady Chirlane McCray was an hour late yesterday to her very first post-inaugural speaking engagement, the Post reports.

The event in question was a town hall forum on the impact of immigration reform, the flyer for which McCray's face was prominently featured. True to histrionic form, the Post alleges that McCray blew off the forum altogether, hastily opening the event and then leaving, though there's no indication that McCray was ever expected to join the other panelists in the discussion.

Still, when one hires a $170,000 per year chief-of-staff, it's expected that said chief-of-staff would make it a priority to ensure that one show up to one's speaking engagements on time, right?
