Former Project Runway finalist Kenley Collins—and new NY Post cover girl—was arrested yesterday for allegedly attacking her former fiancee with their cat—and then a laptop, some water, and apples—and now faces charges of assault, menacing, harassment and possession of a criminal weapon (the cat? the laptop? the apples?). But the fashion designer tells the Post, "It was a miscommunication."

The Daily News describes the fracas, "Tuesday morning started badly for her one-time intended, Zachary Penley, who told police she woke him up at 7 a.m. by throwing the cat in his face. When he tried to crawl away and used a blanket as a shield, she shut the bedroom door on his head, cops said. Collins then grabbed Penley's computer. 'I'll do it!' she shrieked, before hurling it at him, according to court records. She then tossed the fruit and water in his face." Somewhere in there, Penley managed to called 911.

The Post caught up with Collins as she was removing her items from the Brooklyn apartment the couple once shared (police were also present), and she said, "Zak blew this out of proportion in the police report. It was a break-up that went badly. He got what he wanted. I broke up with him. I just thought that we weren't ready to get married." As for the cat, it's unclear what its condition, but animal control officials told the Post they won't charge Collins if the cat was uninjured.
