Last night, a wake for Philip Seymour Hoffman was held at the Frank E. Campbell Funeral Home on the Upper East Side. His children, Cooper, 10, Tallulah, 7, and Willa, 5, emerged with their mother Mimi O'Donnell from their West Village home, just blocks from the apartment where Hoffman was found dead on Sunday.

According to the Post, as O'Donnell was guiding Willa out to a car, she said, "Look at all the snow!" O'Donnell had called Hoffman's good friend, David Bar Katz, when the actor didn't show up to pick up their children on Sunday morning. Katz and Hoffman's assistant later discovered Hoffman's body with a syringe in the arm, surrounded by empty and full envelopes of heroin.

Besides family members, including his mother Marilyn O'Connor, the attendees included his collaborators on stage and screen. According to the Daily News, "Billy Crudup and Justin Theroux were among the first big-name actors to arrive at the vigil in New York, followed by Amy Adams. Then came Michelle Williams, Joaquin Phoenix, John C. Reilly, director Paul Thomas Anderson, Ethan Hawke and Ben Stiller. Cate Blanchett arrived in black leather pants. Diane Sawyer and Mike Nichols walked arm-in-arm."

Hoffman's autopsy is inconclusive, and the ME's office is conducting further tests. Police raided a Mott Street apartment, acting on a tip that one Robert Vineberg had dealt heroin to Hoffman. Vineberg, who is being held without bail, apparently did sell Hoffman drugs, but drugs found at the actor's apartment were not similar to those police found at Vineberg's. Vineberg has not been charged in connection to Hoffman's death, and sources tell DNAinfo that Hoffman likely had more than one dealer.

A funeral mass is planned for today at St. Ignatius Loyola at noon.
