A fourth suspect in the foiled NYC subway bombing plot has been detained in Pakistan, and the feds are trying to extradite him to the U.S. to stand trial. But extraditing isn't easy! There's a lot of "delicate political and legal issues that will take time to resolve," sources tell the Daily News, and the unidentified Pakistani citizen isn't expected in the U.S. for months. But as more details emerged yesterday about the suicide bomber's plans, Mayor Bloomberg explained why NYC makes an attractive target, telling reporters, "New York is a symbol of democracy and freedom and religious and ethnic tolerance that some people around the world find threatening." Some people also find our foreign policy threatening, but of course that doesn't make for patriotic soundbites.
