Likely many a person coming to New York City with a dream, Ashley Alexandra Dupre, also known as Governor Spitzer's February 13 call girl "Kristen," wanted to be famous. But did she want to be infamous enough to be on the cover of the NY Post as a "BAD GIRL"? And how bad can she be, if she has a tattoo of a cross on her right hand? In addition to the photo on the cover of The Post, they have several more photos of the girl who brought Spitzer down.

The Post reports that even though the 22-year-old (or not) Dupre had a number of trysts with Spitzer (who called himself "George Fox"), she didn't realize he was the Steamroller until after the February 13th meeting. She allegedly said, "Oh, my God! Do you know who this guy is?" Dupre became involved with the Emperors Club after seeing an ad (wanted: girls to "party" with rich dudes). She had been working as a cocktail waitress at bars like Viscaya, Pink Elephant and Reto.

More of Dupre's "friends and associates" are coming out of the woodwork to offer up their insight. Jason Itzler, self-proclaimed "King of All Pimps" jailed for a while (his defense lawyer even allegedly took over his prostitution ring while he was in jail!) was on Anderson Cooper's CNN show to say he once employed Dupre. Itzler told the Daily News, "This was probably the sexiest, hottest girl I had. She's no joke. She's an awesome, awesome, supercool girl."

A friend from her NJ town, Wall Township, says that Dupre's actually had a privileged childhood. Jennifer Delvalle told the NY Sun, "She's very dramatic. I can speak from the time she was 7 until 16 years old, there was never any physical or sexual abuse." Delvalle implies Dupre was never, in spite of trying to be, popular in school, "To know Ashley is to love her."

Also, it's unclear if being famous enough for Hustler publisher Larry Flynt to say, "We've been looking at [her] very closely. She's young. She's pretty. She's a model. We would love to do business with her, and we will approach her," is what Dupre had mind. Penthouse Magazine Group publisher Diane Silberstein also said she would "love" to have Dupre in the magazine, even the cover: "She sounds like a very interesting and talented young woman, and I'm sure she has a great story to tell. We promise to make it worth her while."

News organizations and TV programs are trying to get the first interview with the 22-year-old (or maybe slightly older) Jersey girl. Access Hollywood executive producer Rob Silverstein tells the Daily News, "At the end of the day, this could be in some sick way a big break for her." Indeed - a recording deal could be on the way: Her MySpace page has been viewed over 6.7 million times and her songs on Amie Street, previously 29 cents, are now 98 cents (she added a new one!)
