An East Harlem drug ring that made more than $1 million a year peddling PCP/angel dust, heroin, and crack has been shut down by police. After an 18-month investigation, police arrested more than 30 gang members today around Harlem, including the two brothers who headed up the "extremely active drug sale business." So between this takedown, subway stabber Maksim Gelman's alleged use during his murder spree, and pro-skater Jereme Rogers' hotel freak out, does this mean angel dust is having a moment?

The two brothers, whose names haven't been revealed yet, will be charged under the 2009 "drug kingpin" statute, which is only used against major drug traffickers, and carries a sentence of 25-to-life. "This group was firmly entrenched for a long time," a source told the Post. "They had multiple buildings. They had lookouts who would tip off the dealers when the cops came around."

"PCP usually comes in gallon containers and can be broken down into Snapple bottles," the source told the Post. "You can also dip a cigarette into it and smoke it." That sounds like way more instructional information than we needed to know. So just to be clear: we do NOT recommend anyone tries making angel dust at home.
