An early morning car crash on the Belt Parkway today left one man dead and two other people hospitalized, including the driver, who is now charged with DWI. Police say Sharlene Numa was drunkenly driving a white Infinity sedan east through Rosedale, Queens around 4 a.m. when she rear-ended a Mercedes being driven by an unidentified 18-year-old man. The collision caused the Infinity to flip over and, according to the Daily News, crash into a tree.

The driver of the Mercedes was taken to Franklin General Hospital in stable condition, and Numa was taken to Jamaica Hospital in stable condition. Her passenger, 29-year-old Kendall Heard, a resident of Freeport, Long Island, was pronounced DOA at Jamaica Hospital.

The investigation is ongoing, but police have already arrested Numa. In addition to the DWI charge, she's also charged with manslaughter and vehicular manslaughter.
