Dora The Explorer: adorable Spanglish toddler or the Ron Jeremy of Nickelodeon? A Queens mom is complaining that after buying "Nickelodeon All-Star Sports Day" featuring Dora character Diego she came home to find that she had actually been sold "Bubble Butts Bonanza 17." We understand her frustration—the whole series peaked at #11. However, upon doing some Google research of "Dora Porn," (it's a living) we discovered that this is not the first time the cartoon has tried to peddle smut to the children. But first, bubble butts.
Queens mom Candice Connor says she purchased the DVD for $12.99 at a Valley Stream Toys 'R' Us, and that it was shrink-wrapped when she bought it. When her sons put the DVD on the next day they "saw a Caucasian lady and man and they were naked," says her son Nigel. She's waiting to hire a lawyer before contacting Toys 'R' Us, but the store's manager told the Daily News, "I'm just very, very surprised."
Dora is not a first-time offender here. In December, 5-year-old Ashley Holman was given her parents' Verizon phone so she could play with a Dora app while they were visiting her grandmother. The family knew there were pop-up ads, but didn't realize that many of them were of the "adult" variety until little Ashley had already clicked through. Her father said, "It was naked women, topless, right there on the screen." And let's not forget about the glaringly phallic "Dora Aquapet." We knew there was something up with that "grown up" redesign.
