While Poster Boy is behind bars for 11 months for mashing up some subway ads, Brooklyn judge Michael Gary just sentenced dog killer Dudley Ramsay to a mere 4 months in jail. The 26-year-old Fort Greene resident had beat a five-month-old Dachshund puppy, “breaking six of his tiny ribs and damaging his lungs and liver." This was his 2nd Dachshund victim.

Mike Szymanski, of the Dachshund Examiner (yep), had started an email campaign to get Ramsay the maximum sentence of two years, and tells the Brooklyn Paper, "This is a tragedy. [The four months] is a fraction of what Ramsay certainly deserves. It was a slap on the wrist and showed that the judge didn’t care.” The DA, Carol Moran, allegedly received over 100 emails from animal lovers across the country and pushed for the max herself, but Gary was lenient.

Szymanski isn't standing for it, however, and warns: "People have to realize that Dachshund lovers can be way more radical than the Tea Party if we find out than an injustice has been done. This is something that could cost this judge his office."
