Can you believe it was just last Wednesday when banker Debrahlee Lorenzana sauntered into our lives, with many photographs of her posing in sexy and business outfits? Lorenzana has gone from claiming that Citibank fired her because she was too hot for her colleagues to do their work to appearing on morning television and claiming that her current employer, JPMorganChase, wants her to shut up. Now what?
Well, since asking Citibank customers about her (and, yes, they fondly remembered her at two midtown Manhattan locations) was done last Friday, it was time for the tabloids to hit the Williamsburg branch where she currently works. One man joked to the Daily News, "I would bank here more often," while another invoked some armchair legalese, "What happened at her prior job is outside this bank's jurisdiction." Even a 79-year-old woman was on the single mom's side, telling the Post, "It's bad and it's not fair. She should be allowed to talk, and if Chase fires her, I will stop banking with them."
Tomorrow we're betting that the tabloids head to the Bronx, Queens and Staten Island to ask residents there if they'd be okay with Lorenzana working at their banks—we can't wait!
