A former NYC detective who is accused of being a creep with a badge allegedly has a history of being a creep with a badge. Deodhram Singh, who the NYPD fired last July, will go on trial in Albany County Court Monday on allegations that he tried (and failed) to seduce an 11-year-old girl into his car with money last summer. Of course, maybe it's all just a conspiracy.

Singh allegedly pulled his truck besides the fifth grader, asking her "are you young?" and "do you want to make some money?" He tried to bait her with $100, but she ran into her grandparents' house, and her grandfather followed the truck to confront him and get his license plate number. Singh, a 16-year NYPD vet, is charged with the attempted luring of a child, a felony carrying 11/3 to 4 years in prison, as well as stalking.

During a pre-trial hearing Thursday to determine evidence, it was revealed that Singh has a history of domestic violence allegations against him. But more damning, Singh was found by NYPD internal investigators to have coerced a prostitute into having sex with him using his badge. According to court papers, Singh found and visited a 17-year-old prostitute on Craigslist in 2008; when she demanded money from him, he flashed his badge and told her, "Now what am I going to do with you?" Police began their investigation after the woman showed up as a possible rape victim. In the end, internal investigators later ruled Singh compelled the woman to have sex with him "out of fear of being arrested."
