The incredible winds that Hurricane Sandy brought into New York were really something last night. So incredible that they pulled a 712-ton, 168-foot-long water tanker more than a mile from its mooring onto Front Street on Staten Island!

A third of the tanker (which thankfully no longer carries oil) made it onto the Front Street, just over from Bay Street, in Clifton (here's another pic). Luckily it appears that nobody was on the ship or hurt along the way to short. But really just go see WABC's report on the 1941 tanker, the John B. Caddell, for yourself:
