Cops have arrested a plumber and his wife, as well as their unemployed son and his roommate, after finding an impressive weapons arsenal in their Sheepshead Bay home. Confiscated from the apartment—located opposite an elementary school—were 10 handguns, two assault rifles, nine shotguns and nine rifles as well as a two airguns, a machete, three daggers, a hunting knife and an umbrella with a blade in its handle. According to NY1, they were known for being “gun enthusiasts.”

"They were really nice people,"said Rosemarie Parascando, who lived across the street. "Harmless. Strange but harmless." Another neighbor chimed in that Thomas Sciano was an avid hunter. Cops got a tip that the Brooklyn man had been bragging about his gun collection and executed a search warrant in the apartment. Upon finding the unregistered weapons trove—which contained some antique guns that may not be in working order—they cuffed all four of the home’s inhabitants, including the Sianos’ 29-year-old son Vincent and his roommate Michael Poole.

Also uncovered in the Brooklyn dwelling were pills (it’s unclear what type) and ammunition. The members of the gun-loving group were charged with multiple counts of criminal possession of weapons. Still, cops think the threatening assemblage of weapons was a collection and nothing more. "We have no reason to believe they had any intent to sell these weapons," a police source said. "They just shouldn't have had them in the first place."
