Police are searching for a man who allegedly hailed a livery cab in Queens, and once inside, punched and robbed the driver.
Cops say that shortly after 3 p.m. on October 6th, a 50-year-old livery cab driver picked up a passenger on 195th Street and Jamaica Avenue in Hollis. Once he was inside the cab, the suspect allegedly punched the driver in the face and also punched the cab's windshield. The suspect then allegedly stole $200 from the cabbie before fleeing eastbound on Jamaica Avenue towards 196th Street. The driver refused medical attention.
The suspect is described as approximately 23 to 27 years of age, weighing 140 to 155 lbs., standing 5'11"-6'0" tall with a thin build, and was last seen wearing a sport jacket with white trim and a Caesar haircut.
