The police have released photographs of two men who having been pretending to sell Apple products in Brooklyn and Manhattan for the past couple of months. Their M.O.: Show a bag of Apple gadgets, sell them for a discounted price—but they switch the bag with an empty one after they get the cash.
The NYPD says this has happened four times: At 2 p.m., February 10, 2014 at 5505 5th Avenue (DEV Computers) in Brooklyn; at 3:45 p.m., February 14, 2014 at 810 60th Street (JJ Wireless Station) in Brooklyn; at 1:30 p.m., February 15, 2014 at 1413 Lexington Avenue (Shangri-La) in Manhattan; and at 1:30 p.m., March 6, 2014 at 54 Tiemann Place (restaurant) in Manhattan.
