Yesterday, the police headed to an apartment on Saint Pauls Place in the Bronx, acting on a tip about assault weapons that were allegedly inside. According to the NYPD, the owner, Enrique Santiago, allowed them to search his apartment—and they found in his bedroom closet a ".45 caliber Colt semi-automatic handgun, Colt AK-47 with a bayonet attached, SKS with a bayonet attached, Colt AR-15 as well as a box containing over 500 rounds of ammunition."
Santiago, 49, was arrested and charged with numerous counts of criminal possession of weapons for having loaded firearms, for the assault rifles, and for having three or more firearms.
