A man standing inside a bus nearing the Lincoln Tunnel entrance in NJ was ejected through the front windshield when the driver abruptly hit the brakes this morning.

According to NBC New York, "The tour bus, operated by Gunther Charters, was headed to the city from Baltimore. The owner of the company said the passenger was standing very close to the driver when the driver went to stop at a red light approaching the tunnel. The driver hit the brakes and the person went through the windshield."

The passenger's impact resulted into the windshield falling out; WABC 7 reports, "The entire front window pane broke apart from the bus. The passenger did not go through the glass window."

The passenger was taken to Jersey City Medical Center and is reportedly in stable condition. None of the other passengers or bus driver were injured.

The bus company is investigating when the passenger was standing.
