Apparently it's not that small a world after all, since a bus full of Brooklyn high school students was stranded for nine hours along a Florida highway on its way back from Disney World—more than 1,000 miles from home.

The bus, one of three that departed last Wednesday from Fort Hamilton High School carrying tweens from the school's marching band, orchestra and chorus, apparently stalled as it was headed back to Brooklyn late Monday night. The other two buses halted their journey as well, and all three remained on the side of the road for more than eight hours waiting for help to arrive.

Attempts to repair the broke down vehicle were futile, meaning the 130 students were forced to wait while operator Coach USA sent a replacement bus. They were deposited safely back in Bay Ridge by Tuesday morning, peeved but unharmed.

"As soon as it broke down, everything went off," one student told ABC upon arriving home. "The AC went off, the bus broke down, the outlets went out, so you couldn't charge your phone to tell anybody anything. It was just terrible."
