Even when the USPS is trying to help, they're messing things up. Since their long, insufferable lines have caused so much grief, they decided to send out tens of thousands of postcards to Mill Basin customers, directing them to an alternate place to mail letters and buy stamps during the busy holiday season. How helpful... except they printed the wrong address.

According to the Daily News, the mailer started going in early December, and was sent to around 29,000 residences. It told customers to go to an empty storefront at 2005 Avenue U, when the real address was 1958 Ralph Avenue — 3.5 miles away. One customer told the paper, "If I go to the wrong address, I'm done [with the post office]. It just tells you some one's asleep at the wheel."

A USPS spokeswoman says, "Now what they're going to do to correct it is send out another post card mailing" to the 29,000 residences. Sounds like a waste of someone's money.
