A 30-year-old woman was killed yesterday morning when a SUV driven by her boyfriend hit a guardrail and flipped on the Belt Parkway in Brooklyn. According to police, Kareem Dupass, 34, was speeding when he lost control of the Ford Explorer near the Flatbush exit around 5 a.m. Amanda Marty died at Brookdale Hospital, and Dupass was charged with manslaughter, vehicular manslaughter, criminally negligent homicide, DWI, reckless driving and speeding.

The Daily News, which has a photograph of the wrecked car, reports, Marty and DuPass lived together in Bushwick with two children - Kareem, 16, who is DuPass' son, and Terrell, 12, the couple's son." Marty had been sitting in the front seat; there were two other passengers in the car sitting in the back—Dupass's 21-year-old brother and a 33-year-old man. The Post says the 21-year-old victim was "listed in critical condition."

Dupass had a previous DWI charge from 2007. Marty's mother spoke to the NEws and "said she's not angry at DuPass, who she said didn't have a reputation for drinking hard.
