[UPDATE BELOW]
An unidentified woman says she was fired from Brides Magazine after showing coworkers the results of her breast augmentation surgery. The woman would speak to the press only on condition of anonymity, and we don't have any photos, so this image is for reference only. She claims that last month, at the request of two female colleagues, she closed the door to her office and proceeded to unbutton her blouse.
She says she left her bra on, but it's unclear if any nipples were exposed. (Again, no photo.) "It was within the confines of my office, behind closed doors," the ex-employee tells the Post. "There was no nudity involved. They were personal friends who I had known for years." But word of her private exhibition quickly spread through the office, and someone (jealous?) complained to human resources. Two days later, she was fired. Not promoted, fired! "They said that based on additional information, which they did not share, that it was inappropriate and I was fired. I was in complete and utter shock," the woman added.
Condé Nast, which owns Brides Magazine, has not commented. But the woman's attorney tells the Post, "They gave her no severance and are trying to deny her unemployment benefits. [It's] unbelieveable when you consider the kind of images that are in Condé Nast magazines." And on the covers! GQ, for instance, isn't shy about the breasts; this month's cover is Rihanna topless, and, for reference, here's Megan Fox.
UPDATE: Writer Lindsay Robertson puts this whole thing in perspective with a list of far wilder things that co-workers have shown have shown her over the years. It begins with two crotch exposures and ends with "the place on the floor of an office where sex was had the night before, including the wet spot."
