Weekend trips out of town are a great time to remind yourself that the NYC subway system is the best in the country. The DC metro, after all, is eternally single-tracking; the Chicago El is always freezing, and Boston is a city full of evil sports teams so who even cares where the T can take you? Anyway, I'm Boston-bound. Those of you who are stuck here this weekend, feel free to curse the MTA until you're next able to experience the public transportation horrors offered up by Real America. It is one's right as a Strand tote bag-carrying New Yorker to complain incessantly until G train derailment do us part.
