Former NYPD Commissioner and Giuliani BFF Bernard Kerik was convicted of tax fraud and lying to the White House while under consideration for Homeland Security chief back in 2004. He served a prison sentence until his release in October 2013, and has been under parole supervision since, allowing him to make comments about "savages" and "animals" during the Ferguson riots. But now Kerik wants to be totally free of Big Brother.
The Daily News reports that Kerik is trying to get out of parole supervision ahead of the scheduled end date of October 2016, but Assistant U.S. Attorneys Perry Carbone and Elliott Jacobson retorted, "During the period of his sentence (Kerik) has shown an utter lack of contrition and rehabilitation by disavowing his guilty plea."
Kerik's lawyer claims that his client has the good of the world on his mind, "Early termination ... would allow him to travel freely abroad, throughout the Middle East, specifically those countries overwhelmed by the threats of ISIS." His lawyer previously complained that the parole supervision was preventing him from getting a post-prison job, not dwelling on the fact that he's a liar.
