Not too much happening this weekend weatherwise. A high pressure system is moving across the eastern half of the country the next few days. For us that means a brilliantly sunny and cool Friday the 13th. Clouds will be on the increase tomorrow as the axis of the high moves to our east. It will also be a lot warmer. Look for the temperature to climb into the mid 50s.
After a slight chance of rain late Saturday night skies are expected to clear out a bit on Sunday. Highs will range from the mid 50s to lower 60s with the cooler air closer to the coast.
Looking back, did you think, like us, that last month was awfully cold? In reality February was a touch more than two degrees higher than average. The warmest February since 2002. Combining the warm February with a slightly warmer than average December and a cold January, the past winter wound up being a little cooler than the 1971-2000 norm.
